Lyteworkgo Help

How Lyteworkgo is organized

A short map of the staff app, the customer portal, and the usual path from a new lead to getting paid.

This site explains what each screen is for and what the buttons do. It does not cover how the software is built.

The Help button in Lyteworkgo opens the guide for the page you are on. Support is separate — that is how you email us when something is broken or you need a person.

You told us your trade when you signed up, so your workspace did not start empty — see What is already set up.

The usual path of a job

Most work follows the same path:

  1. Client — the customer record (name, phone, address, contacts).
  2. Request — what they need (a leak, a tune-up, a quote request).
  3. Quote — your estimate, sent for review or signature.
  4. Job — the scheduled visit and the work itself.
  5. Invoice — the bill, then payment.

You do not always use every step. A simple repair can go Request → Job → Invoice. Recurring work can skip the quote.

Staff app vs customer portal

Size note. Lyteworkgo comes in six sizes — Solo, Small, Medium, Large, XL and XXL — and every size has every feature in these guides. Sizes differ only in how many people they hold, storage and customer texts (see Account & billing). Solo is for one person: inviting anyone, or adding a helper, needs Small or larger. A few screens — Dispatch, QuickBooks and the Technicians report — aren't part of any size sold today and appear only in workspaces that have them. If you don't see a page, it is usually your role — not a missing feature.

Who can do what

Everyone signs in as themselves, and what they can do comes from their role. There are five that take a seat, and one that takes half a seat:

Owner, Admin and Helper stand alone. Office staff, Field tech and Billing combine: someone who runs the office and also goes out on jobs can be Office staff and Field tech, and gets everything both roles allow. One person takes one seat, whatever roles they hold.

Each of those three roles starts with defaults that suit the job, and owners and admins can adjust them for one person with switches — for example, letting one Office staff member see invoices, or turning off payments for one Field tech. See Customizing access.

Company settings, users, and importing and deleting clients always stay with owners and admins, and your subscription with the owners and their authorized managers. No role or switch hands them to anyone else.

Workspaces with dispatch can also have a Dispatcher, who runs the dispatch board and assigns work to the crew. That role isn’t part of any size sold today. A Dispatcher can do everything Office staff can with every switch on except See reports, can be booked for work, and can read a record’s history. Role notes in these guides name the five seat roles above, and Helper where a helper can do the thing.

Where a button is limited, the guide says so in a note like this:

Requires owner or admin access. Office staff, Field techs and Billing do not see this action.

Screenshots

Guides include pictures of the staff app and the customer portal. They use a demo workspace, so names and amounts are sample data.
