Your job link
A business shared a job with you. What you can do on the page, adding photos and notes, telling them you're done, and what to do if the link stops working.
A business that uses Lyteworkgo has shared one job with you through a link, usually because you’re doing part of the work for them. This page explains what you can do with it.
There’s nothing to sign up for: no account, no password, no app. Open the link on your phone, in any web browser.
For subcontractors. This page is for someone who was sent a job link. If you're a customer of the business, see Using the customer portal.
What’s on the page
From the top:
- The business’s name and logo, and a Call button to reach their office.
- Who the link is for — your company, and your name if they have it.
- When: the day and time to come, in one line, such as Tue, Oct 6 · Arrive 8:00–10:00 AM. If the day isn’t set yet, it says The office will confirm the day. If the business changes it, the page shows the new time the next time you open it.
- Where: the address, with Get directions to open the route in Google Maps. Under it, Getting in (gate codes, parking, how to get in) and Ask for (the name of the person to ask for on site), when the business has added them.
- The job number and what the job is.
- What to do: what the business wrote for you about the work, when they’ve written something.
The page doesn’t show the customer’s contact details, any prices, or the business’s own list of items for the job. If you need to know more, call the business.
Adding notes and photos
Use Your notes to tell the business anything they should know: what you found, what you did, a part that’s needed. A note can be up to 5,000 characters, and you can add up to 50.
Use Your photos to show the work: Take photo opens your camera, and Add from phone lets you pick several at once. Each one is made smaller on your phone before it uploads, so it goes up faster, and shows Uploading… until it’s saved. If a photo can’t be added, it stays on the page with the reason and a Retry button:
- Too big — a photo can be up to 10 MB once it’s been made smaller. Almost every phone photo fits.
- Not a photo — JPG, PNG and WEBP images only.
- The most this link can add — up to 15 photos at a time (the page shows how many you’ve added, such as 4 of 15), and 30 in total over the life of the link. Deleting a photo frees a space in the 15, not the 30. A new link from the business starts the 30 again; the 15 still counts the photos you’ve already added, because they stay. A job can also only hold so many photos and files in all.
If you’ve reached the 30 and need to send more, ask the business: they can send you a new link. What you’ve already added stays.
The business sees your notes and photos on the job, marked with your company’s name. You can delete your own notes and photos; you can’t see or change anyone else’s.
Telling them you’re done
When you’ve finished, tap Report the work done and confirm. The business is told straight away, and the page says You reported the work done, with the time.
You can still add notes and photos afterwards. Reporting doesn’t close the job: the business checks the work and closes it themselves.
When the job is closed
Once the business completes or cancels the job, the page says This job is complete or This job was cancelled. You can still read it for a few days, but you can’t add anything more.
If the link stops working
The bottom of the page says how long the link works, such as This link works until Oct 30, 2026. A link stops working:
- 7 days after the job is completed or cancelled, or 90 days after it was sent, whichever comes first;
- when the business turns it off; or
- when the business sends you a new link for the same job — only the newest one works.
You’ll then see This link isn’t active. Ask the business that sent it to you for a new one. We can’t tell you anything about the job ourselves: it belongs to the business.
A new link keeps what you added. It opens the same job page, with your notes, your photos and, if you’d already reported the work done, that report: you don’t need to report it again. It works for 90 days from when the business sent it.
If the page says Too many requests just now, wait a moment and try again.
Keep the link to yourself
The link is for your company: the bottom of the page says so, and so does our email if the business emailed it to you. Anyone who has the link can see the job’s address, how to get in and what’s being done there. Don’t post it or forward it outside your company. If you think someone else has it, tell the business: they can turn it off and send you a new one.
