Crew on a job

Put several people on one job — each gets it on their own day, is checked for clashes, and moves with the job when it is rescheduled.

Some jobs need more than one pair of hands. Instead of creating the same job twice, put the whole crew on it. Each person gets the job as a stop on their own My day, and each is checked for clashes as themselves.

Size note. A crew needs at least two people who can be booked for work, so the Crew card appears once there's someone on your account besides you: a teammate or an active helper. Solo is for one person, so it has no crew. If you're back to being the only person on your account, a job that still has a crew shows it with only Remove from crew, so you can take them off.

Who can change a crew. Adding people, removing them and changing the lead needs Assign and reschedule other people's work: owners and admins always, and Office staff by default. Field techs aren't offered it — they see the crew, not the buttons. Only people who can be booked for work (owners, admins, Field techs and helpers) can be on a crew. See Customizing access.

The Crew card

Open a job and find Crew below Appointment. It lists everyone on the job:

Adding someone

Tap Add to crew. You will see everyone who can be booked for work and is not on the job yet. Before you pick, each person is checked against the job’s day and time:

Tap Add next to a name. They join the job on the lead’s day and time. Add as many people as you need, then tap Done.

The job needs to be assigned to someone before you can add a crew. A draft can’t have a crew, and a completed or cancelled job’s crew can’t change.

The person added gets an Added to a job notification in the app, unless they added themselves.

Changing the lead

Open the ⋮ menu next to someone and choose Make lead. They become the person the job is assigned to, and the old lead stays on the crew.

Removing someone

Open the ⋮ menu next to someone and choose Remove from crew, then confirm. The job leaves their day. Any time they logged stays on the job. The lead can’t be removed this way — make someone else the lead first.

Rescheduling moves everyone

Everyone on the crew works the lead’s day and time. When you reschedule the job, the whole crew moves with it, and each person is checked for clashes on the new day. Cancel appointment keeps the crew on the job without a day. If you unassign the job and clear its appointment, the whole crew comes off.

Multi-day jobs

A multi-day job is one job per day, and each day has its own crew. Two ways to put the same crew on every day:

Creating a job with a crew

On Create New Job, choose who the job is Assigned To. A Crew field then appears below it. Add everyone else who will work the job. If you save the job as a draft, remove the crew first, because a draft can’t keep one. Add them when you create the job.

What the crew sees

Each person on the crew has the job on their own My day, marked Crew of 3 (or however many are on it). Tapping it opens the job, where the Crew card lists everyone. A Field tech on a crew can open that job even though it is assigned to someone else. They log their own time on it.

A helper on a crew sees only their own visit, on My visits, never the job page — see Using Lyteworkgo as a helper. When they tap Mark my visit done, the Crew card shows Reported done by … under their name: see When a helper reports a visit done.
